The person behind the AI your team already pays for
I am Joshua Seage, an independent AI specialist, speaker and trainer based in the Northern Rivers, NSW. I help businesses get real value from Claude and the AI tools they already have, through talks, in-house training days and ongoing enablement. I am also the founder of Under Seage Studio, the separate arm that builds the tools when a business wants them built.
I come from the shop floor, not a slide deck.
For seven years I ran Lennox Label, a Northern Rivers retail brand, and built Australia's first premium plain t-shirt subscription service. I handled offshore manufacturing, quality control, domestic logistics and ran the performance marketing across Meta and Google. Running a small business teaches you where the real leaks are, because you feel every one of them yourself.
That is the lens I bring to AI. Most teams have Claude and use a fraction of it, treating it like a chatbot. The gap is almost never the tool. It is knowing how to put it to work on the jobs a business actually does. That is the whole thing I do now.
Leakage, labour, latency.
I look at every business through three pillars. Leakage: where money, time and resources are leaking out, usually from disconnected tools and outdated processes. Labour: how to take the repetitive lifting off your team with AI workflows so staff can do the work you actually hired them for. Latency: cutting the delays and friction that slow everything down.
My background is in behavioural science, a Bachelor of Social Science and a Behavioural Science and Marketing masters. That matters more than it sounds. It is the reason the training actually sticks with a team, not just why the tool is clever. Getting people to genuinely change how they work is a behaviour problem before it is a technology one.
Grassroots, not a side gig.
I am president of the Wollongbar Community Action Network, leading local initiatives and giving the community a voice in local development and infrastructure. Alongside that I work as a community development and grant management officer at The Buttery, helping community groups secure funding for grassroots initiatives.
It is the same instinct that runs through the AI work: technology only earns its keep when it puts the people using it first and makes their lives genuinely easier.
What I can actually back up.
I have completed Anthropic's courses across the stack, Claude 101, Claude Code 101, Claude Code in Action, Claude Platform 101 and the Introduction to Claude Cowork, so the training is grounded in the current tools, not last year's. To be clear and honest: I am an independent Claude and AI specialist. I am not an official Anthropic partner and I do not claim their endorsement. Independent is the point, I work for you, not a vendor.
On the strategy side, Rory Sutherland, Vice Chairman of Ogilvy, said of my work: "I thought the work was really ingenious. It was inspired and interesting and I enjoyed it immensely."
Josh the specialist, Under Seage Studio the builder.
When you want your team taught and set up to use AI properly, that is me, direct: a keynote, a training day, or an ongoing enablement retainer as your AI person on call. When you want the tool itself built, custom software, AI tools or a website, that goes through my studio.
Need it built, not just taught? Under Seage Studio is the build and delivery arm.
Let's get your team genuinely using AI.
The fastest way in is the phone or an email. I read everything.
